Cooking Up a Great Love

In the kitchen, they cook together.  In the world, they laugh together.  In life, they'll always have each other.

He's a fisherman, a hunter, and all around outdoorsman.
She's a pastry chef, a vintage lover, and true creative soul.

I was honored to be a part of the day he asked her to be his wife.  After more than six years, he decided to pop the question and make an honest woman out of her! She, of course, said yes!

I couldn't be happier for the two of them and I am so happy for all the adventure and love they have to look forward to with each other!

Congratulations, Monica and Kyle!

Carlos & Michelle

I have known this beautiful woman my whole life, and her engagement shoot with her fiance, Carlos, went exactly as I imagined.
High fashion and plenty of sarcastic humor from all parties involved!

Though the wind nearly blew us across the river a few times, we managed to have a good time exploring the park.

The love was easy to see (make out sessions usually give it away, haha!) and I found directing these two through the session to be effortless.

She adores him, he worships her. Just as it should be when you are engaged to be married!

Enjoy the romance, the sweetness and the sauciness of these two lovebirds!

I am honored and excited to be photographing their wedding day in May!

Monica & Kyle

These two... I mean, they are a riot!
This was supposed to be a mini session, but because I kept tearing up due to side splitting laughter, it took us a while!  By no means am I complaining! I had so much fun and was so glad to capture some of their love in photographs!

We ventured around a local park and found plenty of things to joke about and I had no problem getting them to smile, that's for sure!

I always feel like I am on an adventure when I am in a session, because I never really know what is going to be next.  I do not like to plan too heavily for shoots as I prefer natural reactions and movements.  Sure, a styled shoot with props is fun, but nothing is needed to photograph a couple or a family.  I look for the love and it is always easy to find!

Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!

Here you go, you crazy kids! (Who are the same age as me!)

Weddings of 2012

2012 was a great year for weddings! I learned so much and feel I grew as a photographer more than I could have dreamed!
I am so grateful and honored to have photographed these big days!  The couples trusted me to capture the irreplaceable moments of one of the most important days of their lives - it feels incredible!

Weddings are a crazy day and while the bride and groom are bustling about filled with jitters and trying to keep track of the caterer, the flowers, the decor, the guests - I am going about photographing each and every second.  Being the photographer is a big responsibility and a lot of fun!
Even though the day can be overwhelming, the bride and groom are always beaming with excitement and love for each other and it is wonderful to be behind my camera snapping each kiss, smile and joyful tear.

Thank you to the newly weds of 2012 that put this day in my hands to preserve and congratulations to the soon to be newly weds of 2013 considering me for their big day.

As The Beatles said so perfectly: "All we need is love".

To love a Marine...

First of all, thank you to all of you who are serving or who have served our great country and to those of you who support and love them!

Taking photos for this couple was inspring and a ton of fun! Full of laughter and good spirits, these two are meant to be together and are a great example of a Military marriage.
These photos are some of my most proud as of yet, and I can only hope there are more opportunities for me to photograph Military families.

I am proud to be an American.

Enjoy.

Must Love Dogs...

I had a fun time photographing Matt and Ashley and their dogs Maverick and Romeo!
There was a lot of laughing and a lot of great photo opportunities... She was a trooper in her high heels!

Oregon City, as I have said before, is an awesome city and lends itself so effortlessly to great photography.

Ninety Years Young...

This was my Great Grandmother's 90th birthday party with all her kids and their cousins that are still with us... It was a pleasure to see them all in the same room for the first time in who knows how many years!

It was also great practice for photographing an 'event'...

Enjoy
